Just ten more episodes left of PoT. Oh god! What will we do after that??
We're at the semi-finals at the Nationals.
I LOVE the Osaka team! Not as much as Seigaku of course, but I still love them. Even in anime there's something about Osakans'! Little redhead is too cute! ♥
I love PoT so much! ♥ Now really. Love! ♥
Ryoma is getting cuter and cuter all the time. How he really admires all of his senpais is just too cute! ^______^ I loved the Kaidou and Momo look-a-likes when he went to America and how he said that Momo and Kaidou was much cooler then those two. hoho. Sweet!
And Kaidou. I could write several posts just about the awesomeness of that guy. ♥
On another note, my fridge has broken. It tries every now and then but just dies down again. Kind of like my computer which dies every second hour. Hm. I think my room must be cursed.
Watched Can!Jani today. My computer don't agree to downloads, so I asked

My computer dies almost every time I plug in my external harddrive. Which means I have no eito to watch, since all my stuff is on there. How long will I go without dying I wonder?
And JROCK tour? There's just more and more all the time. I want to go. But I won't, even if it's while I'm still here. Stupid money.
They say that the yen will get cheaper in the middle of March. Oh great. I'll go home the 20th. Feels weird. Back to Sweden, back to work. I hope I'll get to work quite a lot immediately and that I will get back on the substitute list. Because if I don't I wonder how much I'll get to work before summer.. But I think it will work out, they never have enough substitutes.
I work at an old people's home (is that really how you say it in english? I guess not, but oh well). I wonder how it is there now seeing as there were many changes (for the worse I'm afraid) taking place right before I left. The elder-care leaves so much more to wish for nowadays. It's not right that half of the servicehouses gets closed down and that it's almost impossible to get a room in the ones left. The criterias to get in is either; that you're dying or severe dementia. And my working place shouldn't even have dementia patients, it's too big and there is too much going on everywhere. Dementia patients gets worried easily, and that place is not for them. But about half of the patients now are dementia patients.
It really bugs me how nothing is done properly. The patients are coming in worse and worse states and their need for helo is bigger, but they cut down on the personnel. Me, and (almost) everyone working there wants to do a good job and to really help the patients and take time with everyone, but seeing as it is now, it's just not possible.
And their cutting down on the care too, like nowadays, the usual for showering is once every third week. That is not ok. And sure, if it's patients that need more, they will get more, but the standard is every third week, it used to be every second. AH! I get so annoyed when I think about this. I've been working in elderly care off and on since 2006 and everything is just getting worse. Like how almost everyone used to have at least 30 minutes a week were someone from the personnel just sat down to talk to them, now, that has been removed and is only allowed if "it changes the behaviour of the resident and makes them more sociable with the rest of the residents". Now WTF?! So just to get some time to talk, about anything with someone who would listen, now what's the point of that? None, it seems. But really, to make someones life really worth living you'll need more than just clothes on your body and food.
We try, but there is so much to do and so little time.
I really enjoy my work, at least most of the time, but there's so much that's wrong with the way we're working. It's all about saving money. But it's people we're working with! That seems to be an aspect that the higher-ups has completely forgotten. >__<
Aaah. Getting all fired up here!
Hm. On another note, there is just two and a half week until one of my best friends comes to Japan. ♥ I miss you chan-chan! ♥
And a week later I'll be going back to Sweden. I really hope that there will be something going on with eito, preferably a tour, next year's summer. Because I think that's about the only time I'll be able to go here for quite some time.
Oh I wish they had everything scheduled about two years ahead so I would be able to plan anything!
Need to go eat now. Starving!

Date: 2009-02-22 03:18 pm (UTC)I think you're actually getting into Tenipuri at the perfect time! There is a new manga starting next month! O: It's some kind of all-star team or something, but I bet everyone who isn't on the actual team will still be cheerng (or booing XD) from the sidelines! I'm excited about it. ♥
Augh, I think nursing homes are the same way here. It's really sad when they cut corners in places that deal with people, especially elderly people who might not really have anything else. I wish we respected our elders more, but it's really unacceptable the kinds of things that go on in these places. >< (Not the same thing, but I feel that way about my University, too. Like, whenever they need to save money, it's always the students who suffer first. Not the administrators and certainly not the athletic program, but just the students. ~_~ I get really angry about that. D:)
And Maru is the perfect one to be put with Hina in those situations, isn't he? He loves it. XD Tho he did smack Hina back once on Can!Jani! That was really funny! XDD Hina would drive me nuts, too, I hate backseat drivers. XD
*dies* long comment is long. D:

Date: 2009-02-22 06:03 pm (UTC)Yes I know.. And there are so many things happening that would not have happened if there was just enough people working. For example there was this incident at one home in my area, not were I work thanks god, but there was this lady being forgotten on the toilet for at least 4 hours. It's the kind of thing that shouldn't happen, but the way it is now, with all the cut-downs it happens so easily!
It always makes me so mad how it's never administrators who suffers, either we talk about schools or elderly-care. >___<
It's just Maru who could put up with him in that situation! ^^
Eeeh?! When did he slap Hina? And more importantly, how could I miss/forget that?! O____O
Long comment is nice! *___*
